The week runs on a baking calendar here. Preorders open on a Sunday or Monday evening, the oven fills midweek, and Thursday or Saturday is porch pickup. Birdsong Sourdough in Pleasant View takes orders Monday morning and sets the loaves out for Thursday pickup. Sourdough by Sue - Lehi, UT bakes artisan bread to order, and across the Wasatch Front you find the same rhythm: a weekly menu, a link to reserve your bread, a porch or bake stand open until it sells out. Southern Utah keeps its own version of it, with St. George and the towns around it baking on that same drop schedule.

Slow-fermented bread is what most of these kitchens lead with, but the range underneath it is wider than that suggests. Utah has a famous sweet tooth: Swig poured its first dirty soda in St. George, Crumbl boxed its first cookies in Logan, and the home kitchens on this page bake to that standard. A lot of these bakers carried a flavor in with them and kept making it. Masa Madre Bakery in Spanish Fork bakes pan hecho con amor with an Argentine hand. Maison Miette in North Ogden turns out French-inspired pastries and dessert spreads. There are East Coast bagels rolled by transplants, Thai bakes and Egyptian desserts around Salt Lake City, Chilean cakes in Orem, gluten-free macarons in Utah County. The shops span Salt Lake bakers, Utah County bakers, Cache Valley bakers, and small-town kitchens far from any of them.

Every page here is owner-managed and always free to list. You message the baker, reserve from the weekly menu, and pick it up at the porch. Pay direct, neighbor to neighbor.
