About our porch
How we got here
I’m nervous and excited to announce that I’m launching a small self serve porch bakery from home! With my kids getting older and half of them now in college, I’ve been wanting to begin the next portion of my story and have some extra funds to do things with. When I graduated with a dual associates in culinary arts (23 years ago 🥴) I had planned on figuring out my food journey then, but got married and was blessed with the best job in the world; becoming Payton’s mom, then Wyatt, Rueben and Cords. I get to dust off my skills once in a while when feeding the baseball team or the cross country/track kids, maybe a bake sale fundraiser or two. Baking is so intertwined in the DNA of our family, and I can’t tell you how many core memories have been surrounded by good food and the people I love. I have LOTS to learn, lots to figure out, and I certainly don’t want to take away from any of our other local bakers. There is so much talent out there. I plan to follow the seasons and make new recipes around that each week/month. I look forward to sharing with you my culinary creations from The Front Porch!
