“Hi! I’m Alina Janes, owner and operator of Janes Baking Co, a micro-bakery based in La Costa. I’ve been in business since February 2020, coincidentally right before the world shut down. Bread making was an obsessive hobby for me that turned into a full-time business, allowing me to stay home with my two young kids. My focus is on organic, fresh-milled, locally sourced (as much as possible) wheat, and my specialty is naturally leavened breads (AKA sourdough). My goal is to deliver the highest quality baked goods using the best ingredients I can source, with everything handcrafted with the utmost care.
