“It all began with a health journey. As a creative, finding an outlet was always the easy part. But, being told I needed to avoid Gluten and not be able to eat or enjoy any of my favorite food items, was a hard pill to swallow. Hashimotos caused my body to become very inflamed and I gained a lot of weight. Little did I know, Carbs were the issue… AKA, lots of Gluten. After years of trying everything, I learned about Sourdough. Sourdough was then incorporated into my day-to-day life and my life was forever changed. I found a loophole! No more inflammation and I was able to drop the weight and get back to feeling like myself. Years of dabbling around with my Sourdough starter led me to create all of the items I had always known and loved, but couldn’t enjoy for so long. Cue the muffins, cookies, breads, etc! Amongst family and friends, these items became a hit. A creative girl + another creative outlet = the birth of NoFo SoDough. I really hope you enjoy these Sourdough-based items as much as I do.”
